As a prolific buyer and seller of residential real estate throughout Florida and Brazil since 1978, Jim affords his clients unparalleled expertise that gives them the best possible upside no matter what side of the transaction they’re on. He is dedicated to the details to ensure the greatest potential and benefit to those he represents.
Jim has been a seasoned real estate professional in Florida since 2004. He was the founder of Waterview Capital Group Inc., a full service real estate and mortgage services company that specialized in helping individual investors diversify their investment portfolio to also include residential real estate as a passive and valued asset class. The company also provided traditional buying, selling and property management services in the South Florida and North Florida markets.
Jim knows what it takes to painlessly complete the easiest to most complicated real estate transactions.

More About The Geddes Group
From our humble beginning, James Geddes leveraged his technical and business knowledge to become the founder of several angel investor-backed and venture capital funded Internet and Mobile software companies. Jim’s success enabled him to become a Co-Founder and Senior Managing Director of a prominent high tech venture capital fund in Silicon Valley with additional offices in Tokyo, Seattle and NYC. Recruiting a team of talented professionals, they raised $300M from institutional investors in the US, Japan and Europe.
Over the next 7 years their portfolio of startup companies grew to be valued at more than $1.8B. This was achieved by NASDAQ Initial Public Offerings (IPO’s) as well as Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A’s) with companies such as Amazon, AOL, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Nielsen Media Research and others. Jim had the well-deserved good fortune to be on the Board of Directors with notable captains of industry such as the Chairman and CEO’s of Apple, Charles Schwab, IBM, Universal Studios, Vivendi-Universal and NBC as well as a former Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission and a former US Ambassador to the United Nations.
Experienced in complex equity-based stock transactions provided Jim with a solid foundation to flourish in the equity-based residential real estate industry. He has been personally and professionally representing buyers and sellers in residential real estate since 1994.
Jim and his wife, Eleni, live near St. Johns Town Center. Together they help clients in the greater Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach and Nocatee areas. Previously they lived in Jacksonville from 2001 to 2012 in Jacksonville Golf & Country Club and Waterleaf.
